Interactor Onyeji David Chimbuchi, an Interactor of Interact Club of Ikotun Senior High School, Lagos has just been handed his mantle of leadership as the District Interact Representative for 2023-2024 Rotary year.
The DIR was formally decorated by the District Governor, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie alongside the District Interact Chairman, Past President Favour Madu during his handover ceremony held at the Rotary Centre in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, April 25, 2024
DIR David who was accompanied by his father, Mr Onyeji L. O. D. in his acceptance speech, expressed his appreciation to everyone who has supported him in one way or the other since his emergence as the DIR.
“Thank you, from the depths of my soul, for this incredible honour. Together, we embark on a journey fueled by hope, driven by purpose, and united in service”, he said.
Speaking further, he said, “I humbly accept the responsibility entrusted upon me as the Rotary District Interact Representative for Lagos State and Ogun State of Rotary District 9110. With courage in my heart and compassion in my soul, I pledge to serve with integrity, humility, and unwavering dedication”.
He closed his speech by calling on everyone to join hands with him in writing “the next chapter in the story of service, one filled with love, kindness, and boundless possibility”.
Present at the ceremony was the Tutor General, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State District I, Prince Adewale Adeoye who was represented by Director of Employee and Industrial Relations, Mrs Ayoade M.O; the Principal, Ikotun Senior High School, Mrs Oyelehin A.A was also present with the Interact Coordinator (ISHS) Mrs Obiakalus Abosede.
