The District Economic and Community Development Committee led by the Chairman, Rotarian Lekan Bade-John, a member of Rotary Club of Omole Golden on Friday, June 11, 2021 empowered indigent Nigerians comprising male and female with capital goods worth about N2million.
The beneficiaries who are skilled entrepreneurs were given items in line with their various area of expertise ranging from fashion designing to hair dressing to shoe making to catering, among others.
Some of the beneficiaries were trained by some Rotary clubs which include but not limited to Rotary club of Egbe and Rotary Club of Agege prior to the empowerment programme.
The beneficiaries who showcased their products to the DG and others present, displayed so much excitement while appreciating the Rotary district for such a huge privilege.
