Imaginative DG Omotunde Lawson , FCAI and members of her team officially visit Rotary Club of Lagos currently led by Imaginative President Joseph Akhigbe on Wednesday, July 6.
Being the second club to receive the Imaginative DG this Rotary year, the club which happens to be the oldest club in the district having existed for over 60 years, also happens to be the home club of the spouse of the District Governor, Rotarian Francis who was inducted by the DG into the club on 1st of July.
The club led by the Imaginative President, Joseph Akhigbe presented a cheque of N1million to 10 market women in Ifako market.
The DG while presenting the cheque to the women noted that she, having witnessed the club carry out same project last Rotary year, sees it as a tradition of the club. “This is the consistency I am talking about. Some people start such project but are unable to continue”, she commended the club.
The DG whose spouse was recently inducted as a member of Rotary Club of Lagos also decorated her spouse, the club president as well as other members of the club as members of the Polioplus Society.
