Rotary Club of Ikate Donates Dictionary to Adegoke Primary School in Adelabu, Surulere, Lagos
The large dictionary which was positioned at a fixed spot in the school premises will serve every student of the school.
The donated was unveiled earlier today by the Imaginative District Governor, Omotunde Lawson, FCAI alongside members of the club led by the Imaginative President, Rotarian Ugochukwu Egesionu.
The DG commended the club for such an out-of-the-box initiative which will go a long way in boosting the students’ academics.
The Head Teacher of the school, Mrs Okeke Florence Ebere received the donation on behalf of the school in the company of some teachers of the school.
The club also sponsored one year gas supply to the Special Correctional Centre for Girls, Idi-Araba, Lagos.
The club presented a cheque of N500, 000 to the centre being payment for one year supply of gas to the centre, after the home administrators led by the Home Principal, Mrs Ojukotola complained of their ability to fill up their gas regularly due to lack of adequate fund.
The Imaginative District Governor who witnessed the donation exercise further commended the club for yet another innovative project carried out by the club following the donation of the massive, fixed dictionary in Adegoke Primary School earlier that day.
