The District Governor’s official visit to Rotary Club of Gbagada today started with the DG being led by the Imaginative President of the club, Alozie Nsirimobi and some other members of the club to General Hospital, Gbagada where the club donated mattresses and medical equipment.
 
Keying into the Rotary club’s donation project, the Rotaract club of Gbagada led by the President, Michael Ekerin and the Rotaract Club of Epe led by the President, Onike Kehinde, both sponsored by the Rotary Club of Gbagada, also donated a 4-Way Test plaque and a mechanical baby scale to the hospital.
 
The items were formally presented to the hospital by the District Governor, Omotunde Lawson, FCAI who congratulated the club for once again, performing its annual ritual. “What is happening here is not new, at least from the history of the club”. She admonished the hospital to put everything being donated by the club to good use.
 
In his appreciation remark, Dr Felix Famuyiwa, the Deputy Medical Director who stood in for the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Olusegun Babafemi before the arrival of the CMD, stated that with the consistent rate of projects done by the club in the hospital, he sees the club as a part and parcel of the hospital. 
 
“I have moved around different hospitals and I see how the Corporate Social Responsibility is being done but it’s so different in Gbagada. Even Rotarian Dr. Lawal that anchored it is no more here but the consistency is still there. I see it more like Rotary Club of General Hospital, Gbagada”, said Dr. Famuyiwa.
In the same vein, the CMD who joined the donation exercise at the peak of it also revealed that the relationship the hospital has with the club is a solid one. In appreciation, the excited CMD said, “I doff my hat for Rotary”.

The RotaKids Club of Tots n Cots School, sponsored by Rotary Club of Gbagada and which happens to be the first RotaKids Club in the district unveiled a Rotary customized billboard with the inscription “Every Child Deserves a Drop of the Polio Vaccine” as part of its polio awareness campaign.
 
The club further unveiled RCG Hall of Fame, an office space in Ikeja area of Lagos state where the club’s valuables will be preserved.
