Rotarian Dr. Jide Akeredolu of Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA, was on Saturday, July 6, 2019, installed as the 39th District Governor of Rotary International, District 9110, Nigeria.
 
The installation ceremony which took place at Muson Centre in Onikan, Lagos state, was well attended by Rotarians, Past District 9110 Governors led by the Doyen, Julius Adelusi- Adeluyi, and district leaders from the district and other districts in Nigeria.
 
The ceremony also witnessed the presence of dignitaries in the society among which is the Executive Governor of Ondo state who was ably represented at the event; His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu, Oba of  Lagos and the Guest Speaker, Dr. Reuben Abati.  
 
 
The Immediate Past District Governor, Kola Sodipo was also present at the event with his wife Adenike, during which he gave his farewell address.
 
The newly installed District Governor, Jide Akeredolu who was introduced at the event alongside his wife, Tokunbo and two of his children, by the District Secretary, Idowu Afelogun, delivered his inaugural address, during which he highlighted his goals for the year.
 
The maiden draw of the "One Million Dollar Challenge" which is an initiative of the District Governor, targeted at raising the sum of $1million to The Rotary Foundation by the end of the Rotary year, was also performed and winners carted away mouth-watering prizes which includes flight ticket, air conditioner, among other prizes.
 
A special auction sale of a brand new motorcycle was also held with Rotary Club of Gbagada emerging winner of the auction sale. A cultural dance troupe and a live band was also on ground to entertain guests at the event.
