The Inspiration president of Rotary Club of New Towns, Oko Oba in District 9110, Seun Onakade and members of his club has shown love to members of Olabua in Orile Agege Community with the provision of water borehole facility to the community.
The club also provided a brand new generator for the community to ensure constant water supply. The new facility was commissioned by the club on Thursday, April 11, 2019.

The commissioning event started with a courtesy visit to the palace of the Alaige of Orile Agege, HRM, Oba Ambaliu Agbedeyi by members of the club, the District Governor, Kola Sodipo and the Assistant Governor to the club, Segun Adewakun in the early hours of the morning.
The Oba then accompanied the club members to the water borehole site after saying a prayer for the club, in appreciation for their kind gesture to the community.

Speaking at the borehole site, the club president said, “This water project we have carried out here addresses disease prevention, water and sanitation, as well as some other aspects of the six areas of focus in our club. We intend to do more for this community in the nearest future.”

DG Sodipo in his address said, “All we want is for you to ensure that whenever we come around, we will see this facility in a good state. We know the current situation of power in the country that is why we have also provided this generator for your use.”

Honourable Oluyinka Ogundimu, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Agege Constituency 02 who was also present thanked the club members for their humanitarian services. “This is a good one, we are happy about it and seeing us all together here shows it”, he said.

Honourable Ogundimu however advised that a committee be formed and saddled with the responsibility of maintaining and monitoring the usage of the facility. “We can only hold the committee accountable for it. A token will be charged to fuel the generator and cater for other expenses.”

Oba Agbedeyi also addressed the club members saying, “The prayer I already made for you at home will be with you. Your project has brought everyone together here today and because you have done this project to relieve the people of the stress of getting water, God will also relive you of any stress you may be passing through.”

“God will replenish your pockets where the money for this project has come from”, the Oba said while urging the people to use the facility with care so as to encourage the club to do more.
