Our First Female District Governor, Rotarian Omotunde Lawson, FCAI on Monday, January 2, 2023 visited Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos to see and present a special gift to the first female baby of the year.
 
    
 
Upon arrival, the DG and other Rotarians present were received by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital- Professor Adetokunbo Fabamwo who is a Rotarian with Rotary Club of Gbagada and his management team which includes the Director of Clinical Services and Training- Professor Adebowale Adekoya; the Deputy DCST- Dr. Bamidele Ayodele who is also a Rotarian with Rotary Club of Gbagada; and the DHA cum HR- Mr Kehinde Gbajumo.
 
The lucky mother of the historical baby girl who was born at 2am on January 1st was shocked as she received the surprise visit. A baby bag which contains caps, romper suit, shawl, pampers, blanket, baby wrap, socks, mitten, baby vests, among other goodies was presented to the mother of the baby. The President, Rotary Club of Maryland also presented a gift to the baby on behalf of her club.
Other babies born on January 1st also received goody bags from the Koseleri District Governor.
 
 
 
The DG further donated medical equipment to the hospital. The equipment donated include a phototherapy machine, examination couches, and baby weighing scales.
 
Also present was the Captain of Imaginative Presidents, Rotarian Tunde Olaleye of Rotary Club of Victoria Garden City, Vice-Captain of Imaginative Presidents, Rotarian Rissy Taiwo of Rotary Club of Maryland as well as the Rotarian Alozie Nsirimobi, the Imaginative President, Rotary Club of Gbagada. Past District Governor, Dr. Deinde Shoga, as well as Past District Governor Yomi Adewunmi were also present with other Rotarians of the district.
