21 new Planet Earth Ambassadors were on Thursday, 25th of April 2024 inaugurated by Save the Environment Committee 2023-2024, Rotary International, District 9110 during their 2023-2024 Environmental Symposium tagged “Save our Planet”.
 
 
Welcoming the attendees to the occasion, the Chairman of the Committee PP Delight Sunday-Anicho sensitized them on the need for the Citizens and the Government to jointly understand the need for protecting the environment in developmental patterns which is sure to offer better residential neighborhoods,  and avoid economic waste.
 
While addressing the Ambassadors, the District Governor of District 9110 Rotarian Ifeyinwa Rita Ejezie charged the new Ambassadors to continue to create and propagate adequate environmental awareness to save our planet, and create better living standard for all.
 
 
Speaking in the occasion, one of the guest speakers Engr. Ibilola Olatunji gave the Ambassadors the message of planting new Four Trees for every Single Tree killed. 
 
Using the opportunity, Mr Jimi Odukoya who represented the Director of LAWMA educated them on the Lagos State environmental laws and how they can assist the State in ensuring a friendly and safe environment.
 
 
The new Ambassadors includes: Rtn. Ifeyinwa R. Ejezie, PP Delight Sunday-Anicho, PP Lawrence Adesola Adesoye, PP Adebukunola Soile-Balogun, PP Hilary Nwawulu, PP Olushola Oluyemisi Agboola, Chief Hyginus C.  Onyejekwe, Rtn Gloria Onu, Rtn. Izuchukwu Egwuagu, Rtn. Akeodi Jacob, Rtn. Glory Ayozie, Rtn. Richard Edi, Rtn. Alexander Chukwu, PP Adetokunbo Ademola Soluade, Rtn. Olajuwon Amodu, PP Lucky Arhere, Rtn. Kenneth Okpeahior, Rtn Chief Godwin Sunday Umeugoji, Rtn. Adiaha-Obong Ukoyen, Engr. Adebayo Awosanya, and AG Happy Tosan Mene.
 
The occasion also witnessed the presentation of various awards to deserving individuals and Clubs for their efforts towards saving our planet during the Rotary year.
