This year’s Children’s Day celebration was marked with different kinds of fun activities by schools and organizations across the country and the children arm of Rotary known as the RotaKids under the umbrella of Rotary International, District 9110 were not left out.
A Children’s Day party/talent hunt show was organized for the children by the Rotary district on Sunday, May 26 at the Rotary Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.
There were lots of goodies and take-home gifts for the children. From Golden Morn cereal to Golden Morn to popcorn to ice cream as well as candy floss.
The children also got goodie bags which contains items such as exercise books, chocolates, children drinks, snacks, biscuits, sweets, crayon, writing materials, and lots more to take home. Food and drinks were also not left out.
There was beauty pageant, dancing competition, and games both for the children and their parents/wards and gifts were given to the contestants.
The children were given the opportunity to be presented as Baby Legends. These baby legends were given additional privileges such as a beautifully customized plaques and also the platform to participate in a painting exercise.
Representing the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie who was on a function outside the county, was the District Governor Nominee, Rotary International, District 9112, Rtn. Lanre Adedoyin.
Vice Captain of Club Presidents, Rtn. Benedict Ajike was also present and was presented with an appreciation plaque for Adult Legends.
