Rotary Club of Surulere has just provided a water borehole facility for Atunde Olu School, a school for the physically and mentally challenged children.

Commissioning the water facility on Thursday, August 19, 2021 was District Governor Remi Bello, FCA who was on his official visit to the club.

The Club President, Kunle Oshodi revealed that the borehole which is about 250 feet deep came about after the school, during the needs assessment carried out by the club, informed the club about their inability to get a water borehole, thereby their inability to get potable water.

The club members then took it upon themselves to come to their rescue by not just providing them with a potable water facility but also going extra miles to give them one of the best by digging deeper which is more costly compared to the shallow ones.
The Rotarians also walked around the school premises to see areas where the club can further assist the school.

The club also reached out to children and occupants of Hearts of Gold Children's Hospice, a home for abandoned and young children with life limiting and life threatening conditions. The club members stormed the home with food items, toiletries, and baby diapers which were donated to the home.
