Rotary Club of Sagamu Central in District 9110, Nigeria has distributed new school uniforms to some pupils of AUD Nursery and Primary School and Oba Sonariwo Nursery and Primary School in Sagamu area of Ogun State.

The distribution exercise was carried out during the visit of the District Governor, Rotarian Dr. Wale Ogunbadejo and members of his entourage, including the District Secretary, Rotarian Segun Adewakun, to the club on Tuesday, December 12, 2016.

The club, under the leadership of the pacesetter president, Rotarian Anthony Babatunde, during its classification survey of the schools, noticed that most of the pupils were putting on worn-out uniforms. This indicates the need for new and more presentable school uniforms for the pupils whose parents and guardians couldn’t afford one.

Following the survey, the club decided to take it up as a project. On the said distribution day, the club gave out two pairs of new school uniforms each to some pupils of the two schools. The uniforms were presented to the pupils by DG Ogunbadejo, on behalf of the club.

The Governor, however, commended the club for a job well done and urged them not to relent in their effort in providing for the well-being of members of its community as that is what Rotary stands for.

After the distribution exercise, the club led the DG to its meeting venue where he held a club assembly with members of the club and also shared fellowship with them.
