Rotary Club of Onigbongbo, District 9110 Nigeria has again, proven its support towards the development of the education in the country with the provision of an ultra-modern chemistry laboratory for Immaculate Heart Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maryland in Lagos state.
The new laboratory which was provided by the club, in collaboration with Fin Lab, and Hi Impact Amusement Park & Resort, was fully equipped with all the necessary tools and instruments required.
Commissioning the lab on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 was the District Governor, Dr. Jide Akeredolu who commended the club which is currently being led by the United President, Olajide Ajayi, for the laudable project, noting that not only will the project give the club the mileage to increase its membership but will also enable the club make more impact in the community.
Mrs. Showemimo Tayelolu, the Director, School’s Admin who represented TGPS Mrs. Adekanye Anike (District II), while delivering her speech, appreciated the club saying, “You have done so much. I have known Rotary Club of Gbagada before now because I always attend most of the projects they do in that Gbagada/Bariga axis.
“For Rotary Club of Onigbongbo to have taken up this project, I appreciate you because as many boys and girls as we train, so will our country be better off for it. We need to reduce the number of hooligans will be reduced”, Mrs. Tayelolu said.
The School Principal, Mrs. Olutoyin Okuwobi, in her remark also appreciated the club for narrowing its choice of capacity building to the school. “We really appreciate you and may God replenish your pocket to do more”, she said.
Also present at the commissioning ceremony were other members of the club, the Club President’s spouse, Mrs. Ajayi, and the Chairman of Fin Lab, Mr. Uzo Nwaije.
