Rotary Club of Ojodu officially received the District Governor, Omotunde Lawson, FCAI today and several projects were carried out by the club in the course of the visit.
 
 
First was donation of food stuff and toiletries to Ozanam House in Agidingbi, Ikeja. Next was tree planting exercise at Isheri Grammar School where a botanical garden was newly established by the club.
 
The District Governor commissioned the garden and also took part in the tree planting exercise.
 
 
The club further presented one year fully covered health insurance certificates to two families. The health insurance which covers a family of four was started by the club 4 years ago, and has been an annual practice by the club since then.
 
Witnessing the insurance presentation exercise was Mrs Steve Jennifer, the Ikeja Coordinator, Lagos State Health Scheme who revealed that the club has partnered with the state government on the insurance scheme for indigent families for four years now. She commended the club saying “We appreciate the club’s effort and passion for the less privileged”.
 
 
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Glory Adebiyi tearfully stated how the club has helped her and her children since the death of her husband. Right there and then, mrs Steve declared her interest to join the club, stating that she was captured by the way she club has impacted in the lives of the beneficiaries.
She was immediately inducted into the club by the District Governor.
