Rotary club of Ikeja Central under the leadership of the United President, Sophia Billy has donated some learning materials to pupils of Mende Junior High School in Maryland, Lagos state.
 
“Today, we are giving back to you part of what we have and the club will continue to give back to you in future”, District Governor
 
 
The materials donated to the pupils include school shoes, dictionaries, crayons, water colour sets, among others. These items were presented to the pupils by the District Governor, Dr. Jide Akeredolu who officially visited the club on Friday, November 22, 2019.
 
The District Governor, while presenting the materials, addressed the pupils who are members of the Interact club of Mende Junior High School which was chattered by the club saying, “What we try to teach you in your Interact club is to imbibe the ideals of Rotary which is the Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do.”
 
“Today, we are giving back to you part of what we have and the club will continue to give back to you in future”, he added, while urging the pupils to make sure the materials given to them by the club serve the purpose they were given by making good use of them to improve their academic performance.
 
One of the pupils appreciated the club for the items given to them, on behalf of the other pupils.
 
 
Later in the day, the DG joined the club’s board meeting and fellowship during which three new members were inducted into the club by the District Governor.
