As part of the annual Polio campaign of Rotary International, Rotary Club of Ikeja, District 9110 on Thursday, October 24, celebrated 2019 “World Polio Day” with the Theme ‘‘LET’S KEEP POLIO @ ZERO”.

The occasion was used to celebrate the effort of Rotarians in Nigeria as the country recorded 3 years without any case of the wild poliovirus in August 2019, and also to immunize children, as well as sensitize Isolo Community in Lagos State, Nigeria on the importance of immunization for their Children in the prevention of the deadly Polio disease; that way, NIGERIA will sustain the “Zero Case of Polio” record.

The event was well attended by the Isolo LSPDC Community and it’s environs as
over 200 children participated in the immunization exercise which was carried out in conjunction with the Primary Health Care Centre under the LCDA at the Rotary Club of Ikeja Community Centre in Isolo Lagos Nigeria.

The event was also attended by members of the Rotary Club of Ikeja and was led by the United President, Olumuyiwa Fagbola.

The club also embarked upon an advocacy awareness of polio vaccine on Three (3) LED outdoor Billboard in Ikeja, Apongbon and Ijora.
