Members of Rotary Club of Festac Metropolitan, District 9110 on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 donated food items to The Life Changer Less Privileged Home in Festac, Lagos state.
 
The food items which were officially presented to the home by the District Governor, Dr Jide Akeredolu, alongside the club president, Fatimah Hassan and some other members of the club, by the club include rice, noodles, palm oil, detergents, toiletries, school bags among other items.
 
 
The District Governor had earlier joined members of the club on a courtesy visit to the office of the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Honourable Valentine Buraimoh where he presented the theme bannerette to the Local Government Chairman.
 
Honourable Buraimoh thanked members of the club for the various impactful projects they are executing in the community. He promised that the LGA, under his watch will always be willing to assist the club whenever the need arises.
 
DG Akeredolu also accompanied the club members to the home of a member of the club, Zakari who is recuperating from a health challenge. The club presented a cheque to him to support his medical bill and the District Governor also promised to personally support him saying that he will send his cheque across to him through the club president.
 
 
The Dg further assured him that his own part of the club’s district dues will be waved so as to ease the financial burden on him. Rotarian Zakari who was all smiles for receiving such an August Visitor- the District Governor, in October, thanked the club and the DG immensely for reaching out to him at this trying period.
