Members of Rotary Club of Falomo, District 9110 led by the club president, Julie Nkanga, has donated a generator set and some other medical equipment to Addo Primary Health Centre in Eti-osa East Local Government Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos state.
 
 
The club members led the District Governor, Dr. Jide Akeredolu to the health centre during his official visit to the club on Thursday, July 18, 2019 where he officially handed over the items to the centre on behalf of the club.
 
“We have identified this place. What you are going to see today is the beginning of what we are going to give you. The list has started and we will continue to go on and on. This is my first time of coming here and I am quite happy that Rotary Club of Falomo has identified this community. Just looking round, we can see that there is a lot more for us to do here. Today, we are donating equipment for you to be able to provide quality healthcare for the people”, DG Akeredolu said.
 
The club president recounted how the centre had asked for a generator, a water borehole facility and some medical items few weeks ago when the club, during its needs assessment in the centre, asked them for their needs.
 
“They asked for borehole, generator, and some other things. The generator and medical items are here”, she said, adding that the club is looking into the borehole demand with a view to also providing it.
 
DG Akeredolu while speaking addressing the health officials and patients at the donation ceremony stated, “We have identified this place. What you are going to see today is the beginning of what we are going to give you. The list has started and we will continue to go on and on.
 
“This is my first time of coming here and I am quite happy that Rotary Club of Falomo has identified this community. Just looking round, we can see that there is a lot more for us to do here. Today, we are donating equipment for you to be able to provide quality healthcare for the people”, he said.
 
The DG, while handing over the items to the Medical Officer of Health, Eti-osa East LCDA, Dr. Ariyibi who received the items on behalf of the centre, further stated, “Like I said, this is the beginning of more things to come. We have gone round, we have seen that this place needs a complete makeover and we are already planning.
 
“You are going to get better water, you are going to get better electricity, you are going to get better fans, you will have a complete repainting of this whole place so that they can glister and be a good place for you to visit. That is what we enjoy doing”, DG Akeredolu concluded.
