Rotary Club of Festac Central under the leadership of Opportunity President Sawyerr Benjamin has sponsors fibroid surgery for five women in the community.
According to the Charter President of the club, Anthonia Agugoesi, the fibroid surgery sponsorship is an annual project of the club which started about 4 - 5 years ago.
The surgeries which have been fully paid for by the club will be carried out at the Maternal and Child Centre in Amuwo, Lagos. Presenting the payment cheque for the fibroid surgeries to a representative of the Centre on Saturday, August 8 was the club president alongside the District Governor, Bola Oyebade who was on his official visit to the club.
The club also, as part of its "Rotary Awareness Campaign" unveiled Rotary monument along Festac Access Road in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos state.
