Rotary Club of Akute and Rotary Club of Olambe jointly received Imaginative District Governor Omotunde Lawson, FCAI on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
The joint visit witnessed the induction of two new Rotarians by the DG, while one was inducted into Rotary Club of Akute led by Imaginative President Olawale Abiodun, the other was inducted into Rotary Club of Olambe led by Imaginative President Pennyon Bello.
Three members of Akute community, Mrs Ruth Taiwo, Mrs Olubukola Ishola, and Alhaji Salaudeen Omotayo also benefited from this year’s edition of the club’s annual Adult Education Programme. This year, the club decided to include skill acquisition to the adult education programme as the beneficiaries were also trained in soap making.
Rotarian Sanni Ayodele, a Past President of Rotary Club of Olambe also presented the DG with a special award plaque for her outstanding performance as the First Female District Governor.
