Rotary Club of Maryland has collaborated with its umbrella body, Rotary International, District 9110 Nigeria to transform Mende Primary Health Centre in Maryland, Lagos state to a more conducive and friendly environment for patients and staff of the centre.

“The truth of the matter is that government cannot do it alone, especially with the increasing population. Whatever you can do to help others, do it. It will help to maintain peace and orderliness as everyone will be happy, therefore, violence that arises as a result of lack will be prevented", Says the District Governor.

The club also donated medical consumables and drugs to the centre. The items were officially presented to the centre during the commissioning ceremony of the renovated facility on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
