District 9110's first female District Governor, Rotarian Omotunde Olayinka Lawson, FCAI, scored another first with the successful hosting of the first Nigeria Peace Fellowship Summit.
 
The event was to complement the just concluded 3-day Peace Activators Training for 40 selected Activators from West & Central Africa cohort, the 6th of the 8th global training organized by Rotary in collaboration with Institute for Economics and Peace. The summit held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on April 4, 2023.
 
Well attended by Rotarians, Rotaractors and non-Rotarians, among them were Rtn. Omotunde Lawson, FCAI, DG 9110, Rtn. Grace Okaro, DG 9142, Rtn. Yinka Babalola, Former Rotary International Vice President, Rtn. Ify Ejezie, Incoming DG 9110, Rtn. Wole Kukoyi, DGN 9111, Rtn. Henry Akinyele, DGND 9111, PDGs Michael Olawale-Cole, Deinde Shoga, Kamoru Omotosho, Joshua Hassan, Marie Irene, Richmond Ahoua, Nze Anizor, etc.
 
 
Nigeria Peace Fellowship Summit is basically about peace and its entrenchment in the entirety of our country and all over the world.
 
The DG also hosted Elizabeth Ng’ang’a, The Rotary Foundation Funds Development Analyst whose 4-day visit to Nigeria and District 9110 in particular is to support the Governor in appreciating our TRF donors for the Rotary year, motivate more Rotarians to donate, and answer questions that Rotarians have on TRF donation matters.
