Rotary Club of Falomo led by Imaginative President Tolulope Ogundipe has just donated 25 baby cots to Island Maternity Hospital, Lagos.
The club leveraged on the DG’s official visit to the club Thursday , July 7 to present the donation.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Imaginative District Governor Omotunde Lawson, FCAI who witnessed the event commended the club for not going below the 25 the hospital requested for, while praying that no child will sleep inside the donated cots and not grow old.
She revealed that “some cases of infant mortality is due to the mother sleeping over the baby”, adding that the donation will help to reduce such cases.
The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Olufemi Omololu who received the donation on behalf of the hospital also thanked the club, noting that the newly donated baby cots will go a long way in providing safety for the infants.
