Imaginative District Governor, Omotunde Lawson, FCAI on Thursday, October 27, 2022 received Rotarians from Rotary District 9212, Kenya, on a friendship exchange visit to Rotary Club of Lagos, District 9110, Nigeria.
 
A team of Rotarians from Rotary Club of Lagos visited the Kenya district earlier in March. Led on the trip by the then Change Maker President of the club, Rotarian Wale Agbeyangi, the Rotarians were well hosted by the Kenyan Rotarians led by Rotarian Lorraine Kirigia.
 
 
 
Following the visit, the Kenya Rotary district started preparations to return the visit and 7 months after, the team of 13 Rotarians from 4 Rotary clubs- Rotary Club of Karen, Rotary Club of Karengata, Rotary Club of Ongata Rongai, and Rotary Club of Lang’ata all in Rotary District 9212 made it happen.
 
The visiting Rotarians also led by Rotarian Kirigia who is currently the Imaginative President, Rotary Club of Karen are being hosted by members of Rotary Club of Lagos Local Organizing Committee led by Imaginative President Joseph Akhigbe.
 
 
 
Other members of the committee that accompanied the visiting Rotarians to meet with the DG alongside IMP Akhigbe include Past Assistant Governor Adeniyi Sowemimo, Assistant Governor Ehi Braimah, Rotarian Comfort Alli-Babalola, as well as Rotarian Yomi Musa.
 
Both the host and visiting Rotarians were treated to a warm reception by the Imaginative DG who decorated the female Rotarians amongst them with the “Women in Rotary” lapel pin. There was also exchange of bannerette while the visiting Rotarians were in addition, presented with copies of “The Governor’s Magazine” produced by District 9110 Editorial crew led by the Editor, AG Ehi Braimah.
 
 
Other district leaders were also present at the reception.
