Seven new Rotarians including Akinloye Tofowomo popularly known as Akin Shuga, leader of one of Nigeria’s leading live bands- Shuga Band, have been inducted into Rotary Club of Maryland, District 9110.

Tofowomo, a polio survivor and Rotary International’s Polio Ambassador was inducted alongside six other new Rotarians including a couple, during an unusual weekly meeting of the club today, which was well attended by the club members, district leaders, as well as family and friends.The District Governor, Kola Sodipo, Past District Governor, Abayomi Adewunmi and the president of Rotary Club of Victoria Garden City, Victor Edomwande who witnessed the induction ceremony, also decorated some of the new members and presented their new member kits to them.

Two of the new members were also decorated and presented their new member kits by the District Governor Nominee, Bola Oyebade who is also a members of the club.
