Walk-a-Thon : Our Polio Walk

The fight to end polio was highlighted by this year’s World Polio Day activities.  The Nigeria National Polio Committee walk, staged in Lagos and named the Polio Walk-a-Thon, held on the 1st November, 2014.  Quoting the Chairman, Nigeria National Polioplus Committee, “We had a great walk yesterday. We had primary school children, secondary school children, students of tertiary institutions, young Rotarians, not too young Rotarians and Rotarians with a lot of years under their belt. They all walked, danced and laughed all the way from the beginning to the end…..and we had a very good turn out of Rotarians, their friends and family members”.
