Six-Block-Toilets and Borehole Project
The Rotary Club of Omole-Golden on Friday 31st October, 2014 inaugurated six blocks of toilet and borehole facilities at Ajuwon High School, Ajuwon, Ogun State.
The move was in line with the club’s penchant for humanitarian services and also to provide teachers and students in the school a hygienic environment where robust learning could thrive.

Speaking at the brief ceremony which had in attendance principal officials of the club, President of Omole-Golden, Mr. Christopher Alabi, said the club was inspired to embark on the project as a result of the need to promote hygiene and healthy living among children.  He said, “This has always been one of the projects we wanted to do. We have done this for the purpose of humanity and to help the young students learn under a hygienic environment.
“Even though embarking on a project like this carries a lot of financial burden, we shall continue to do all we can to support all those who need our inputs within our community.”

Governor of the District, Dr. Dele Balogun, said the decision to build toilets and install a bore-hole became necessary because of the significance of water to daily living.  He also said the club would continue to impact its immediate environment and society at large in the best ways it could.
Balogun said, “Whoever gives water, gives life. The facilities that we have provided should be put to good use to help prevent against diseases among the students and teachers.  “The students who have benefited would go back and also educate their communities on what Rotary has done and we will surely do more in the future if we have the opportunity. All the promises that we have made, we have kept.”
